Overview

Sponsor Scanner is a small independent tool. We do not sell personal data or run ad trackers. This page explains what the site stores locally in your browser and what our servers process.

Data stored in your browser

• Theme preference: light or dark mode.
• Anonymous voter ID: a random ID so you can upvote or downvote deals once per placement.
• Scan client ID: identifies who started a scan so only that browser can abort it.
• Cookie notice choice: whether you dismissed the local-storage notice.

Data processed on our servers

When you run a scan, we fetch public YouTube metadata (titles, descriptions, channel names) and may send description text to Groq for sponsor extraction. We store extracted deals, vote counts, and hashed IP addresses for soft rate limits on scans; we never store raw IPs in the database.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-view statistics. It does not use advertising cookies.
